A tour of my skincare

If you’ve been following me for a while, you already know that Clinica Lase has me as an ambassador. I’m doing a beauty product #shelfie to show a bunch of the products they’ve given to me to look after my skin between treatments (check out one of the many treatments I’ve had here). While most of the products in the photo have been gifted, some of the ones pictured here I’ve bought and when I’ve not been an ambassador for them such as during the pandemic, I kept up buying these so that I could maintain my skincare while away from the clinic.

Everyone’s skin is different, so even though I’ve found these products are great for me, the skin technicians at the clinic helped me find what works best for my skin. With advanced skin products like this, you wouldn’t usually buy them over the counter at a department store because having a trained professional guide your choice is essential with many of the active ingredients. The Clinica Lase team did a thorough assessment of my skin before we started with any products. Check out some of what they looked at here.

The photo of all my products looks like a lot, and it’s way more than the products I used before I started going to Clinica Lase for skin care. I was a Clinique cleanse + tone + moisturise girl for years and thought that was peak skincare until my skin started going haywire. Some of the products I use now cost quite a bit, especially when I’ve worked my way up to more advanced products after starting with basic ones, like with my first moisturiser. Sometimes this will make me only do my morning routine to prolong the use of a product I don’t want to run out of. I found when buying the products myself it was easiest to bring them into my routine one at a time to spread out the cost. As someone who hasn’t always had access to skin care products of this quality, it feels really special to be able to buy things like these for myself now.

Before getting overwhelmed at how many products are in my little box, I have to tell you that I definitely don’t use all of them at once; some of these are morning, some are night, some are once a week and some are one-offs. Here is a breakdown of my routine on a perfect day when I get to do it all. I’ve included links so you can read more about any of the products.

Morning:
Cleansing gel from Skin Better Science
Optiboost complex from Aspect Dr.
Trio rebalancing moisturiser from Skin Better Science
Interfuse for lines from Skin Better Science
+ for neck and chest: Techno neck perfecting cream by Skin Better Science

Then I wear for the day
Airy Day Golden Glow SPF50+
Hyaluronic acid lip booster by PCA Skin

Evening:
Cleansing gel from Skin Better Science
Trio rebalancing moisturiser from Skin Better Science
AlphaRet overnight cream by Skin Better Science
+ for neck and chest: Techno neck perfecting cream by Skin Better Science

Once or twice a week:
Exfoliate with the Fruit enzyme mask from Aspect Dr
Reboot overnight hydration from Cosmedix

I am not very good at remembering to do my skincare. The morning routine is always the easiest for me to remember to do and if I’m travelling taking lots of products is annoying and risks me losing some or leaving them behind. This means that the place I’m most likely to use them is at home where I’m set up to have a routine, especially if I can pair it with anything else I have to do at night, like take medications or drink water.

That’s it! Thanks for checking out my current skin routine.

I've been an ambassador for Clinica Lase since 2018. A bunch of the products I have to use were gifted to me as part of me being an ambassador for them. I don't get paid for that role, or any commissions. As part of the partnership I do a few posts each month about my experience at the clinic.
